Our Story

Vesta was created with a simple idea, to make finance feel clear, practical, and people-first.

After nearly a decade each in the New Zealand banking industry, founders Jess Shaw and Jessie Parker saw a gap. Too many Kiwis were navigating major financial decisions feeling overwhelmed, rushed, or unsure whether the advice they were getting truly aligned with their goals. Lending felt complicated, banking felt transactional, and proactive guidance was often missing.

So, they built something different.

Vesta Finance & Advisory combines deep banking expertise with a warm, down-to-earth approach that puts clients first. As experienced mortgage and financial advisers, we work with ambitious professionals, families, and business owners who want clarity, confidence, and a long-term partner, not just a one-off loan approval.

We provide advice across home lending, investment property, business and commercial funding, and independent KiwiSaver investment advice. We take the time to understand your goals and structure solutions that support both where you are now and where you want to be.

Collectively, our team brings over 50 years’ experience across New Zealand banking, with deep expertise in lending and financial advice.

Jess is the co-founder of Vesta Finance & Advisory and a trusted adviser to ambitious professionals and business owners across New Zealand.
Jess brings a decade of finance experience with nine years at BNZ in Business and Commercial Banking. She brings strong expertise in business and growth funding, commercial property, home and investment lending.
Known for her clear, down to earth advice, Jess helps clients make confident financial decisions and structures lending to support long term wealth building.
Jess looks after our business owners looking to start, acquire and grow their businesses and other assets including residential and commercial.

Jessie is the co-founder of Vesta Finance & Advisory and our trusted residential lending and KiwiSaver expert.
With over nine years of experience in finance, the majority at BNZ, where she specialised in Personal and Private Banking. Her expertise spans residential lending, investment property, and retirement planning.
Known for her calm, friendly approach and meticulous attention to detail, Jessie helps clients feel supported and informed from the first conversation through to settlement and beyond.
Jessie looks after our residential lending, KiwiSaver and financial planning clients.

Hannah is a key part of the Vesta Finance & Advisory team, supporting clients and advisers to make the lending process smooth, organised, and stress-free.
She brings over a decade of experience in operational roles, most recently in real estate, which gives her a strong understanding of the property purchasing process. This background is especially valuable for Vesta clients buying property, helping ensure applications are well coordinated, timelines are met, and nothing is missed along the way.
Known for her attention to detail and calm, can-do approach, Hannah works behind the scenes to keep things moving and support clients through what can often feel like a complex process. She enjoys being part of a team that genuinely cares about its clients and takes pride in helping make finance feel more manageable and approachable.

Margaret Morris

SENIOR CREDIT WRITER
Margy is Vesta Finance & Advisory’s Senior Credit Writer, working closely with advisers to prepare and present lending applications to banks and lenders.
She brings over 30 years of experience across business and agribusiness banking, giving her deep insight into how lenders think and what makes a strong, well-structured application. There are very few scenarios Margy hasn’t seen in her finance career, and that experience is invaluable when navigating complex lending situations.
Margy is a wealth of knowledge for both clients and the wider Vesta team, and takes pride in helping secure the best possible outcomes by presenting each client’s story clearly and confidently to lenders.
